The Didi Hirsch Tribal Communities Outreach Program provides community capacity building tools to a wide range of organizations, schools, universities, businesses, and others. As a member of the California 988 Tribal Response Taskforce, we provide resources and referrals across California for American Indian/Alaska Native help-seekers. Our evidence-based professional development training content fosters inclusive, culturally responsive suicide prevention training and whole person care. The Didi Hirsch Tribal Program offers culturally grounded trainings and workshops exploring native perspectives on mental health, suicide, identity, and the importance of culture/community as protective factors. In collaboration with the CA 988 Tribal Taskforce, these trainings are funded by a grant with Riverside San Bernardino County Indian Health, Inc. and SAMHSA.

Our Didi Hirsch Tribal Program is proud to be a member of the CA 988 Tribal Response Taskforce – a consortium of tribal health centers, 988 Crisis Line call centers, and legislative representation. The taskforce works with native communities across the state to help build impactful indigenized programming. We foster tribal community-led initiatives in urban and rural spaces, promote 988 awareness, and provide culturally grounded suicide prevention trainings.
