Biography

Kimmie Nguyen, MPH, CPSS, is a Peer Support Specialist at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services where she supports those with lived experience. As someone who has gone through a lot of personal suicide related experiences, she hopes to be able to provide advocacy and empowerment to clients being served at the agency. Kimmie currently serves the target population alongside with the therapists in Orange County providing life skill services such as goal setting, routine building, and developing coping mechanisms.

Kimmie previously served the population through outreach and training services as a Training & Outreach Coordinator II in 2023. She has experience creating and maintaining connections between different community organizations. She also has experience with providing trainings though suicide prevention presentations for the target population. In 2025, she transitioned into the program’s first peer support specialist in lived experience and got certified in 2026.

Prior to joining Didi Hirsch, Kimmie’s focus included working in diverse, underserved, and marginalized communities to improve health disparities with preventative measures. Preventative measures would include education, advocacy, and awareness through the development and implementation of health programs and outreach. Kimmie turned her focus into making it mental health and suicide support based on reducing the stigma.
