Kimberly Orozco, LMFT, is a bilingual therapist specializing in suicide prevention, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and crisis intervention. She provides culturally responsive, evidence-based care to individuals, couples, families, and communities throughout Southern California.
Kimberly’s professional experience spans community mental health, suicide prevention, and crisis response. She previously worked within a Full Service Partnership (FSP) program serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, where she responded to psychiatric emergencies and served as the designated LPS-certified clinician. She also has several years of experience providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and supporting their families across home, school, and community settings.
Her work has focused on supporting individuals experiencing suicidal ideation, survivors of suicide loss, at-risk youth, caregivers, and communities impacted by trauma and disaster. Her clinical training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Crisis Oriented Recovery Services (CORS), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), and Psychological First Aid (PFA).
Kimberly is currently completing her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where her research focuses on maternal suicide prevention, postpartum mental health, and reducing stigma surrounding the disclosure of intrusive thoughts among new mothers.
Her therapeutic approach is person-centered and holistic, viewing individuals within the context of their relationships, culture, and life experiences rather than through symptoms alone. She values a holistic approach to therapy that honors the emotional, relational, and spiritual dimensions of healing, while integrating evidence-based clinical practices.
