Biography

Courtney Bitz, ASW, is a Therapist II at Didi Hirsch Suicide Support Services, where she supports Orange County residents who have experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide or are struggling with suicidal thoughts. She has experience providing mental health services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, with a focus on fostering inner strength, healing, and connection through evidence-based, trauma-informed care.

Her training in Cognitive Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CT-SP), SAFETY-A and SAFETY-B interventions for youth, and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) informs her clinical work and supports her ability to provide evidence-based care to individuals at risk for suicide and those impacted by suicide loss.

Courtney joined Didi Hirsch Suicide Support Services in 2019 as a Master of Social Work intern and became a Therapist I in 2020. Since then, she has supported those who are impacted by suicide and developed specialized expertise in suicide loss grief and suicide prevention. She is dedicated to helping clients navigate grief, build resilience, and find hope during times of loss and crisis.

Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, person-centered, and strengths-based. She partners with clients to build on existing strengths and support meaningful, lasting change throughout the healing process.
