Our outpatient therapists provide short-term therapy to help families resolve or cope with a crisis. They offer mental health services, using Evidence-Based Treatment practices, to children and youth from birth to 15 years old. Our Birth-to-Five program uses parenting strategies, play therapy, education and community linkages to promote healthy development and attachment between parents and children. The program serves families at risk due to traumatic separations or stressors in a caregiver’s life such as postpartum depression, teen parenting, lack of family or social supports, homelessness, domestic violence, substance use or mental health issues.
Children and youth with attention and behavior problems, exposure to trauma, anxiety, mild to severe depression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders and other mental health issues can receive individual, group and family therapy as well as case and medication management.
We also have teen therapy groups for boys and girls, specialty groups for mothers and daughters and social skills groups to help teens communicate better with peers and adults.

If it was not for the lady I spoke to yesterday…I was in a very bad place. Thank you so much, thank you.
They kept me alive. I don’t know how I would have survived without them.
When I hit my lowest point, Didi Hirsch was my lifeline.
I learned how to balance being a mother and a woman in recovery. Via Avanta gave me the skills I needed for life, allowed me to be a parent to my daughter.
Didi Hirsch helped me a lot - through the therapy, psychiatry, medication, and being able to open up and share in the groups
