Thank you for your interest in these exciting new best practices! Each of the suicide prevention practices was developed as a “grassroots” effort from six distinct regions of the state representing all Californians. Teams of practitioners and community members turned promising interventions into model ones.  They have brought stability and hope to Californians whose distinct needs had been overlooked, such as older adults, law enforcement and suicide attempters, just to name a few. We are excited to share these practices with you now.

Recognizing that even “best” practices remain works-in-progress, we want to stay connected with you as you use them.  From this base camp in cyberspace, we want to connect you to other resources as well as track the geographical reach of our practices.

To download a practice, start by entering your information below.  When you hit “enter,” you will be taken to the page with downloadable versions of each practice.

We will contact you with training opportunities, practice updates, and new interventions as they become available.  With these tested tools, your center can take its program to the next level.  Join us now!

Participating Organizations:

California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA), Crisis Support Services of Alameda County, County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, Kern County Mental Health Department, Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency, Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency
