At just 16, Eden already knows the power of being heard.
As a Teen Listener for Teen Line—a program of Didi Hirsch that provides peer-to-peer mental health support—she volunteers her time to be that safe space for other teens.
“There are so many teens that don’t have anybody,” Eden says. “No friends, no guidance counselors, not even their parents. I wanted to be a resource for them.”
Her commitment to mental health is deeply personal.
“A lot of people in my life have struggled with mental health issues. Watching that growing up made me want to help others who are going through the same thing—or watching someone they love go through it.”
Since joining Teen Line in 2024, Eden has offered support to countless teens who might not have anywhere else to turn. “Teen Line teaches you how to truly listen. You can understand what someone is feeling if you just take a second to hear them.”
To take her support a step further, Eden is helping to organize Amplify—a teen-led benefit concert on May 3 with all proceeds going to Teen Line. As the lead singer of “Sunday the Band,” she’ll also be performing.
“This project was born from my love of music and love for this organization. Teen Line helps so many people. I wanted to do something that gives back.”
She hopes the concert reminds people what teens are capable of.
“In a world where there’s so much hate pushed onto young people, I want others to see how many teens are showing up, giving their time, and supporting each other.”
For Eden, it’s simple: “You’re not weak for struggling. You’re not alone. And you have the power to do something about it.”
