I drew this illustration in commemoration of my older brother, who passed away in 2019. The black/gray around the piece represents the bad memories trying to overtake the good ones. But in the end, the warm light shines through, encouraging me to cherish the good times. I decided to name this piece “Inner Child” because in order to allow myself to heal and grow as an adult, I need to heal my inner child that grieves the absence of her big brother.
