Will Lippincott

Will Lippincott is a literary agent at Aevitas Creative Management. He specializes in politics, narrative non-fiction, current events, history, and memoir, representing journalists at The New York Times, MSNBC, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Economist, and NPR, and leading American thought leaders and scholars. He joined Didi Hirsch’s Board in 2019.

From 2016 to 2018, Lippincott served as Chief Operating Officer of True Blue Media, a digital media company. For 13 years he worked as an agent and founding partner of the New York literary agency Lippincott Massie McQuilkin. Prior to becoming an agent in 2003, he was publisher of strategy+business magazine and a business development director at the global consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton; publisher of The New Republic; and book publishing director at The New Yorker.

Lippincott is a founding board member and present board secretary of the media watchdog organization Media Matters for America. He has served on the boards for American Bridge 21st Century, Words Without Borders, and BOMB Magazine.

In 2015, Lippincott wrote a widely shared article in The New York Times about his struggle with depression and suicidality, the suicide of his father, and the successful adoption of a new therapy. He continues to speak with clinicians and consumers about how people can find the tools to improve the quality of their lives, and is devoted to erasing the stigma of mental illness.

He lives in West Hollywood.
