Peter Mezza

Peter Mezza graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in Government. He then went on to obtain an M.S. in Urban Studies at Southern Connecticut University and later an additional master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of New Mexico. He later became a Pew Memorial Fellow at the Rand/UCLA Center for Health Policy.

Professionally Peter has worked in government at the local and state wide levels administering social services and health care programs for seniors, adult and juvenile community corrections, patients with HIV/AIDS, disabled adults, medically fragile children, and in-home care. At the end of his career, he was the Housing Authority Administrator for the City of Santa Monica. Since retirement Peter served on the Los Angeles County Commission for Older Adults and the Board of Teen Line. His family has personal experience with teen suicide.
