Lyn Morris, LMFT, is the Chief Executive Officer of Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services. A licensed marriage and family therapist since 1999, Lyn brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience and a national reputation as a suicide prevention expert.
Lyn joined Didi Hirsch in 2000 as Program Director for Adult Outpatient Services. In 2005, she became Division Director of the Suicide Prevention Center, where she played a key role in shaping national standards for suicide prevention. Over the years, she advanced to Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Operating Officer before being appointed CEO in 2022.
Her leadership has secured millions in funding, expanded programs across Los Angeles and Orange counties, and strengthened partnerships with state and federal agencies. Lyn has also authored nationally recognized curricula for Survivors of Suicide Attempts and Teen Survivors After Suicide, used by professionals across the U.S. and in more than 30 countries.
Lyn’s commitment to suicide prevention is deeply personal. Having lost a cousin in 1999 and a close friend in 2004, she channels her lived experience into advocacy and innovation. She has testified before the California Legislature, collaborated with suicide prevention pioneers like Dr. Norman Farberow, and worked to ensure that crisis services remain accessible and equitable for all.
Throughout her tenure, Lyn has led transformative growth in Didi Hirsch’s programs—including outpatient, residential, child and family, substance use, and suicide prevention services. Today, as CEO, she oversees more than 10 sites and partnerships with nearly 100 schools, guiding a staff dedicated to serving over 150,000 people annually.
Known as a results-oriented leader with a heart for community, Lyn is celebrated for her ability to build mission-driven teams, secure critical resources, and influence national policy. Outside of her work, she remains connected to suicide prevention advocacy and is dedicated to mentoring future leaders in the field.
