Carlos Garcia

Carlos Garcia served as a Didi Hirsch Board member from 2009 to 2023. He was Board Chair from 2014 to 2016. He participated in key acquisition and capital investment decisions throughout his fourteen years on the Board.

Garcia is a Partner at ECB STAR (Alvarez & Marsal’s executive search business), leading the Supply Chain, Operations & Procurement Excellence practice. He is also an executive coach and founder of Coaching Gravitas LLC. Previously, he was a partner at international executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles, where he led the Los Angeles office as well as the Supply Chain & Operations Officers Practice globally.

Garcia has extensive multinational experience leading business transformation programs for companies in the life sciences sector. He worked for Booz & Co across the Americas and Europe and for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in key production management and strategic planning roles.

Garcia earned an MBA at Columbia University’s Business School, where he was awarded the McKim Fellowship and completed a triple concentration in Operations Management, Marketing and Management of Organizations. He earned a BA in Economics at Haverford College. He is certified as an Executive Coach by the Hudson Institute of Coaching and credentialed by the International Coaching Federation. 

He has relocated numerous times for his career, most recently to Los Angeles from Mexico City in 2004. He and his wife have four children and reside in Calabasas.
