Board of Directors
Didi Hirsch Board Vice Chair Thomas J. Han, DDS, FACD is a periodontist and a Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Southern California’s Ostrow School of Dentistry.
A member of Didi Hirsch’s Board since 2009, Dr. Han is a Korean-American and a passionate advocate for suicide prevention and erasing the stigma against mental illness, especially in the Korean community. Dr. Han’s professional expertise is in minimally invasive approaches to dental implant and periodontal esthetic surgeries. He has lectured widely in the United States and abroad on the topic of esthetics in implant dentistry and trains post-doctoral residents in periodontal and implant surgery. His dental practice—which focuses on periodontics and implant surgery—is located in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.
Dr. Han received his DDS in 1982 from UCLA School of Dentistry. He is board certified in Periodontics and Implant Surgery by various organizations, and is a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and a past Adjunct Professor of the UCLA School of Dentistry.
Dr. Han and his wife live in West Los Angeles. Their three grown children live in California—two in Los Angeles and one in San Francisco.
