Vice President of Human Resources
Nick Bacon joined Didi Hirsch in 2018 as its Vice President of Human Resources. In his role, Nick leads the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for Human Resources and oversees all the traditional elements of HR.
A published expert in Human Resources with over 20 years of experience, Nick has transformed the way not-for-profit organizations recruit, retain and engage with their staff. He designed a six-stage talent management plan to improve the ‘life-cycle’ of employees, focusing on new position design, recruitment and onboarding, training, career development, performance management and appraisals.
Prior to joining Didi Hirsch, Nick led the Human Resources department at the United Nations Foundation. Nick is passionate about uplifting underserved communities. He has a particular interest in supporting recent immigrants from low- and middle-income countries, considering the unique challenges they face when settling in a new country.
Nick is originally from the United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from City University, London. He is accredited as a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resources and a Senior Professional in Human Resources with the HR Certification Institute.
