Michael Wierwille is an expert in the valuation of corporations’ equity and assets on matters of mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcy, dissolution, litigation, personal portfolio, reorganization and financial and income tax reporting. Over the past 40 years, Mr. Wierwille has held a number of positions with some of the biggest financial services companies in the world. He was a Managing Director of Duff & Phelps LLC (now Kroll, LLC), a Managing Director of Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting and a non-CPA equity partner in the Financial Advisory Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Mr. Wierwille received his MBA from Pepperdine University and holds a BBA degree from the University of Cincinnati. An accredited senior appraiser and licensed real estate broker, he has served as an expert witness on valuation matters for several entities, including United States’ Bankruptcy, District and Tax Courts; the State Courts of Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Ohio; and the International Chamber of Commerce International Court of Arbitration.
Mr. Wierwille also has more than 35 years of experience serving the mental health needs of people in communities where poverty or stigma limits access. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Family Service of Los Angeles when the agency merged with Didi Hirsch in 1993 and has served on Didi Hirsch’s Board ever since, including as Board Chair from 2002 to 2004, again from 2012 to 2014 and most recently from 2020 to 2023.
He lives in Encino with his wife Lisa. They have two children.
