Marina Geozalyan Eckart, LMFT, is the Vice President of Health and Innovation at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services. A licensed marriage and family therapist since 2003, Marina brings over 25 years of experience in behavioral health and a strong commitment to equity, access, and culturally responsive care.
Marina began her career working with chronically mentally ill individuals in the forensic system and has since held roles in residential treatment, foster care, partial hospitalization, and managed care. Much of her direct clinical work has centered on serving the Armenian community, particularly those coping with generational trauma. Her wide-ranging experience spans both clinical service and systems-level work, including quality improvement and program development.
Marina’s passion for expanding access to care is deeply personal. As an immigrant, she experienced firsthand the barriers that marginalized communities face when navigating unfamiliar systems. From a young age, she served as her family’s translator, advocate, and guide—formative experiences that continue to fuel her dedication to building more accessible and equitable mental health systems.
Since joining Didi Hirsch in 2011, Marina has served in several key leadership roles, including Adult Program Director, Division Director of Adult Services, and Division Director of Quality Improvement. In her current role as Vice President of Health and Innovation, she leads initiatives to strengthen service quality, enhance innovation, and drive organizational excellence.
Marina is a systems thinker with a therapist’s heart. She’s known for her thoughtful leadership, cultural humility, and relentless drive to improve how behavioral health care is delivered. Outside of work, Marina values spending time with her family and remains connected to her community through advocacy and mentorship.
