Kristine Santoro, PhD
Dr. Kristine Santoro is the Vice President of Quality and Innovation at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services. Through a competitive University Fellowship, she earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from UCLA in 2001. After serving in an APA-accredited internship at Didi Hirsch, she completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where she received specialized experience in child psychology and assessment.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Santoro gained valuable research experience, leading to publications in various topics in psychology. She also worked as a teaching assistant and faculty instructor at Hamilton College, UCLA and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, teaching courses such as Research Methodology, Statistics in Psychological Research, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with Children & Adolescents and Abnormal Psychology.
She returned to Didi Hirsch in 2002 and has taken on various roles within the agency while simultaneously managing a small private practice. As a Didi Hirsch psychologist, she has provided therapy and psychological testing services. She also has worked as: a supervisor and Program Coordinator of the Multidisciplinary Assessment Team overseeing the assessment of children placed in foster care due to abuse; Program Director overseeing the clinical program in the Family/Child division at Glendale; and Division Director of Training overseeing all agency staff and internship training programs. Dr. Santoro has also played an active role in spearheading the agency’s psychological testing services as well as services for children in the Birth-to-Five program. She’s on the Birth-to-Five steering committee, and is an active member of the American Psychological Association. Her dedication to the field is strongly shaped by her own early experiences, when her family took in and fostered children from much less fortunate circumstances.
Dr. Santoro’s combined personal, clinical, training and research experience has culminated in her overseeing the Quality Improvement, Training, and Research & Evaluation divisions within the agency. She is passionately dedicated to improving the quality of client care and making Didi Hirsch an employer of choice.
